What is Numerology?
Numerology is the exploration of numbers, symbols and patterns within your life. Numerology works under the premise that the numbers and information that is represented by your name and birthdate can help you to develop a deeper understanding of your self, strengths, weaknesses, talents and personal patterns. For instance, all of the numbers in your birthdate are added together to calculate your Life Path number. This number is a reflection of what you want your life to be like.
What does a Numerologist do?
A Numerologist is a guide. His first step to help you to better understand Numerology could be to create your comprehensive personal Numerology profile (see core numbers) for you.

Where did numerology come from?
The Numerology that has reached us today is a study of character traits of an individual. It is based partly on the teachings of Pythagoras and his followers. He was a Greek philosopher and is considered the father of the Numerology that we have today.
He was born on the island of Samos. We can date his life back to between 580-520 BC. As a young man he moved to the Greek city of Croton where he developed a philosophical and religious school. Here Pythagoras was a very active teacher of his time. He invented an 8-string lyre, taught astrology, music, mathematics, and more. Pythagoras and his students believed that everything was related to mathematics, and felt that everything could be predicted and measured in rhythmic cycles. The Pythagoreans went as far as to explain numbers and their related patterns and properties. Pythagoras believed that the letters in the alphabet corresponded to certain numbers. From this theory he developed numerology and was able to determine the personality aspects of an individual based on her/his name. He even went as far to change his name to experience different aspects.
How do you work with Numerology?
I work with Numerology with the primary goal of being able to help you to understand yourself better, so that you can make choices that are based on your true needs (see the Core Numbers) and you can find ways to more effectively work with opportunities and challenges (see Forecasting) in your life.
My work with Numerology may vary slightly from some of the traditional Numerological methods. But, I like to focus on the ways in which Numerology can integrate with and support your own spiritual practice. Also, I try to find ways to help you to understand what your Numerological numbers mean for you rather than telling you what they mean or giving you a set of standard definitions.
For me, It's really about developing a relationship with your inner voice and your soul. Numerology can help you to do that and I work with Numerology in ways that help you to find new and better ways to work with your true nature.
Can Numerology really help me to learn more about myself?
You can think of Numerology as a guide in your process of conscious growth. It really is a wonderfully powerful tool for self discovery. And, it can provide you with the keys to help unlock the misunderstood, unknown or unused parts of yourself. It can be best used in conjunction with other relevant tools, methodologies and techniques. For instance, your "Life Path Number" represents what
you want to do with your life. You can use this number to get a better understanding of what your soul/heart is called to do. Once you have an understanding of your Life Path Number you may then find greater benefit by working with other tools to help you to uncover its deeper meaning. Numerology does show the patterns and themes of your life as determined by your name and birthdate, which is incorporated into your Core Numbers.
It is important to first understand that everyone has free will. You have the ability to make the choice in how you want to live your life.
