By incorporating a study and use of Numerology into your life, you will soon be able to determine the underlying relationship conflicts and personality aspects of yourself, friends and family. The Numerology that has reached us today is a study of character traits of an individual. It is based partly on the teachings of Pythagoras and his followers.
The letters in our names can be used to determine aspects of our personalities. Imagine, each and every letter in your name says something about who you are, what you most like to do, the people you get along with best, skills you exceed in and more.
Of course the way that you lead YOUR life is largely up to you.
Numerology can be used as a fun and exciting tool, which might even help you learn more about yourself. Numerology can provide you with a wealth of information. Everyone is not the same and this information can only try to approximate how you would react in certain circumstances. In certain situations, some people may enjoy periods of high activity, while others would rather enjoy quiet time at the seashore
There are also present day uses for Numerology. Many groups and organizations include the use of numbers and symbols within their logos and related business imagery. There are also Cycle theorists and others who study the cycles of the world and hope to help us chart out a better existence. I hope that you can find a use for Numerology in your life, as I am finding a place for it in mine.
The basics - Getting started
Before you begin, you should decide on the name that you will be working with. When it comes to which name to use for your numerology chart, I recommend starting out with your name as it appears on birth certificate. Your parents chose your name for a reason. Their hopes and dreams for you are strongly connected to your birth name. Once you learn more about Numerology and how to create your own charts you can work with nicknames and your married name.
Now what?
Next, you'll need to familiarize yourself with the chart below. It is the starting point from which you will begin all of your Numerlogical name based readings and charts. As you can see from the chart, the letters A, J, and S correspond to the number one. If you have these particular letters in your name, you'll convert them to the number 1.
You will convert the other letters to their corresponding numbers as well.
Number Corresponding Letters
1 A, J, S
2 B, K, T
3 C, L, U
4 D, M, V
5 E, N, W
6 F, O, X
7 G, P, Y
8 H, Q, Z
9 I, R
An Example:
For example, if the name is Stacey Smith then the basic conversion looks like this:
Stacey
121357
Smith
14928
Once you have all of the numbers, you can begin to create your own chart. There are many different calculated numbers within your Numerology chart. For our example, we'll look at what we would have to do in order to calculate your Soul Number.
To calculate your Soul Number, you will add up all of the vowels in your name. This would look like this:
A E
1 5
I
9
1 + 5 + 9 = 15
Now that you have a result, you will have to 'reduce' it. If your result is greater than 9, you will add together the individual numbers within the result. This would look like this:
1 + 5 = 6
Now that you have a single digit result (1-9), you can stop. In our example, Stacey has a Soul Number of 6.
Of course there are other numbers that you can analyze. But, this example illustrates the basic methods used in Numerology.
