Personal Year Number
In Numerology, each year of your life is part of an overall cycle. Each cycle is composed on 9 distinct years. Each year has its own overall pattern that is connected with it. The #1 Personal Year is a great time for new beginnings, while the #2 Personal Year is great for partnerships. Each year builds on the last.

If you prepare yourself and are ready for the opportunities that will come up in each year then you stand to benefit greatly. To calculate your Personal Year, you would add together your birth MONTH and birth DAY, with the current year.

As an example, consider Nelson Mandella. He was born on 7/18/1918. This makes him 90 in 2008.

To get his Personal Year Number, for 2008 - which is the current year for him in July of 2008 - You would do the following computation:

Month ( 7 ) + Day ( 18 ) + Current Year ( 2008 ) = 2033

Now, we Numerologically reduce the result:

2 + 0 + 3 + 3 = 8

If the result above, was 10 or above, then we would continue to reduce the number in the same way.

However, we have the #8 as our result. Nelson Mandella will have an 8 Personal Year. This year extends from 7/18/2008 to 7/18/2009.

Again, note that your Personal Year, extends from your birth month in one year to the next. It doesn't start in January. Your year starts on your birthday!

Now, what does having a Personal Year of 8 mean? In Numerology this corresponds to victory, authority, honor, pride, and power. It is a time of being recognized and honored recognized for past performance, accomplishments and fulfillment.
