Learning about the New Year
Numerology works under the premise that we live our lives in a series of cycles. One of the more important cycles that we can study is the cycle of the current year. As part of a particular cycle within your life, each year has a number that is associated with it. Each of the single digit numbers, 1 through 9, represents a particular cycle or series of patterns. These cycles are briefly explained below:
Cycle/Keywords for each cycle
1 - beginnings, independence, creativity
2 - cooperation, partnership, balance, patience
3 - creativity, socializing, opportunity, expansion
4 - dedication, honesty, progress, stability
5 - change, education, growth, movement
6 - family, responsibility, choice, compassion
7 - planning, review, desire, strategy
8 - authority, control, wealth, leadership
9 - reflection, endings, spirit, change, unity
Two important cycles that you can look at are your own Personal Year and the Universal Year. Your Personal Year number describes the overall theme of the year, but only for you personally. The Universal Year describes the general themes and influences for everyone in the current year. We'll be looking at and working with the Universal Year. The Universal Year starts in January and ends in December, while your Personal Year will start on your birthday each year. After you develop a better sense of the mystery and meaning of the numbers then you might begin look to work more closely with the themes that your Personal Year can bring.
